The Saskatchewan Hunting Angling and Trapping License (known as your HAL account or your HAL ID) is the first step in getting your license to hunt and fish in one of the greatest outdoor destinations on the planet.
HAL is simply your account profile with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment. Your HAL account is free (hunting and fishing licenses are not). To create your HAL account, you’ll need the following information:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Address (mailing and home address)
- Phone number
- At least one identification number (used to access your account so you don’t need to memorize your HAL number)
- Identification details (including gender, height, eye colour and hair colour)
- If you’re also creating a web account, you’ll need to create a password and provide an email address so you can be sent notifications and email receipts. If you forget your password, password reset information will be sent to the email address on your account.
If you have previously fished or hunted in Saskatchewan, your HAL ID will be printed on your license.
